All Workshop presenters- We have over 1700 attendees at our festival and provide the opportunity to attend 6 workshops. We have different type of presenters. Please read below for the different types of presenters before filling out proposal.

Information for all Workshop presenters
  • All presenters should prepare for the full 90 minutes for compensation.  It is important that the entire time is filled.
  • Expect large number of attendees.
  • All presenters are responsible for bringing their own equipment to be ready for their workshop (ie MP3 players, boomboxes/speakers, laptops, projectors, screens and any cables necessary for equipment) Kansas Thespians will not provide equipment.
  • Incidental expenses (i.e. photocopies, supplies, parking or transportation to and from your local airport) will be the responsibility of the Workshop Presenter.

College/Vendor/Thespian Troupe Director:
  • Any presenter that is associated with a college, vender, or high school will fall in this category.
  • Presenters cover their own registration cost, travel, and hotel
  • Lunch on Friday and Saturday are provided, but all other meals are not provided
  • Presenters are paid $50 for each prepared 90-minute workshop; up to 6 workshops if scheduling permits; not to exceed $300.00.
  • Colleges that attend the Thespian Auditions, can only present a workshop in the first two sessions if they attend auditions.

Wichita Area Guest Artists (Invited Guest Artists with in 60 miles):
  • Presenters registration and lunch on Friday and Saturday will be covered.
  • Wichita area artists are invited to join for dinner on Friday and Saturday.
  • Presenters will cover their own travel expenses.
  • Hotel will NOT be covered for Wichita Area Artists
  • Wichita Artists are paid $100 for each prepared 90-minute workshop, up to 6 workshops, if scheduling permits, not to exceed $599.

Regional Guest Artists (Invited Guest Artists from 61-250 mile range from Wichita):
  • Presenters hotel rooms will be covered at the Hyatt Regency Wichita for Thursday and Friday evening.
  • Presenters will cover their own travel expenses.
  • Lunches will be provided on Friday and Saturday, Regional artists are invited to join dinner on Friday and Saturday as well.
  • Presenters are paid $100 for each prepared 90-minute workshop; up to 5 workshops, if scheduling permits; not to exceed $500.
  • Additional hotel nights will be the responsibility of the Local Guest Artist.


National Guest Artists (251 miles + from Wichita):
  • Kansas Thespians will select a limited amount of national guest artists.
  • Presenters receive accommodations at the Hyatt Regency Wichita and meals while at the Kansas Thespian Festival (coordinated by Kansas Thespians) from Thursday through Saturday or Sunday -depending on travel arrangements.   While we can try to arrange late checkouts we can not guarantee them.
  • National presenters will receive funds to help cover costs of travel, but must arrange travel themselves.
  • Kansas Thespians will provide transportation from Airport to hotel, but artists should arrange shuttle service to get from hotel to airport
  • Presenters receive $599 for teaching 6 prepared 90-minute workshops.
  • Additional hotel nights will be the responsibility of the Guest Artist.
  • National Guest Artists will be selected at the end of Sept/Beginning of October
